3 Steps to Recycle Your Boma Jewelry
Circularity Highlights
RECYCLING
1,049 Pounds
Within our production process, we recycle every bit of silver scrap from the casting process. Any leftover silver isn't thrown away; instead, it's melted down and reused for new pieces. Last year, we recycled over 1,000 pounds of silver from our manufacturing process. That's equivalent to the weight of 200 house cats or 7,000 smartphones!

Over the past two years, we've collaborated with Ridwell as the jewelry recycling partner for Seattle, South Sound, and Bellingham. Ridwell is a Seattle-based startup that has expanded its recycling service to over 40 cities, focusing on items not typically accepted by curbside recycling.
In our first year in partnership we received over 110 boxes of jewelry from the Seattle area, each weighing over 20 pounds. In total our team processed 1,948 pounds of jewelry or 52,894 items. We sorted the total collection into various groups including repair, renew, donation, and recycling. At the end of our process we diverted over 94.97% (50,249 items) of the collection from landfill.
From this recycling partnership, we were able to recycle 48% of the collection or 25,306 items and received hundreds of original Boma pieces as well!
